New: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson: The plan is for the talks to last one day
🔹Iran said today’s talks in Switzerland will focus on the U.S. failure to implement the first clause of the Iran-U.S. memorandum of understanding, which requires an end to the war on all fronts, including Lebanon.
🔹Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said the Iranian delegation will hold bilateral meetings Sunday morning with Pakistani and Qatari mediators before a four-party meeting with U.S., Qatari, and Pakistani delegations later in the day.
🔹Baghaei said Article 13 makes negotiations on a final agreement conditional on implementing five provisions, including Article 1, which calls for ending the war on all fronts, including Lebanon.
🔹He said the United States has “either been unable or unwilling” to enforce that provision and Israel has continued to violate the agreement, adding that the issue will be the central focus of Sunday’s talks.
